Let me tell you nüvi 3790LMT works great. You can navigate to some place, add stops or phone someone without ever having to pull over or take your hands off the wheel. What a huge safety improvement.
Another seemingly small item they improved that youI really like is the zooming. The map zooms in as you slow down and out as you speed up. The multi-touch display allows you to zoom in by pinching or double-tapping. It does it very smoothly and provides the perfect amount of data for costumer tastes. The traffic data is also very useful in urban areas and well presented.

Using Garmin nüvi 3790LMTfor Navigating is very intuitive and easy. Nüvi 3790LMT will finds satellites and calculates routes very quickly. The screen is bright and the design is excellent for providing readable information in an uncluttered way. It has only had one glitch where it couldn’t seem to acquire satellites even though we were in open streets. Turned it off for 30 seconds and when turned back on it found the satellites right away. Very quick and accurate except for that one time.

Very Informative And Useful
The Garmin Nuvi 3790LMT looks great out of the box, and the performance is equally great over about a month of use. I’m retired and don’t commute, so the free traffic service wasn’t a particular emphasis for me. It has proven to be very effective, and I’m really glad it was part of the package. As long as you are in range of an FM station that has traffic info, it is very informative and useful.
Want cracked the screen ? don’t do it
I cracked the screen on my old Garmin 755 so, bit the bullet and went for the 3790LMT. I don’t have a Iphone (i know i could have nav on that but Iphone doesnt support encrypted email, yet) so I wanted something slim and I liked the idea of the voice activated. I had tried other 3D representations on other GPS, and was not impressed. This GPS 3D representation is very well executed. Really great for those complex interchanges. The voice command worked very well-only problem was trying to enter a go to address from scratch…not so good. Voice command worked well in noisy cars, even with the window down at 40 mph.
